The explosion for the filming of television pilot Washington Field did happen yester day. However it seems that a 2 minute 20 to 30′ diameter fireball was a smaller 5′ diameter simulated explosion that lasted for only 2 seconds. The simulated explosion was supposed to happen near the key bridge in Georgtown and near Jack’s Boat House.
Peter Forman of the Examiner.com was on hand to capture the moment. Apparently the explosion was expected to happen between 9:30Am to 12:00PM, but the simluted explosion actually happened at 2:00PM.

Did anyone catch AC Slater at Park this weekend ? Apparently Mario Lopez was in twon at The Park at Fourteenth.
According to LITON Events DC, People Magazine’s Hottest Bachelor of 2008 was set to party at Park. We dont see any pictures on the Park web gallery, like the ones of Brody Jenner partying it up. If you saw the host of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew and Dancing with the Stars contestant send us a message or better yet send us a photo. We will of course give you credit.
Park is apparently trying to attact some talent to the club scene in the DC area who is next? Flavor Flav? Screech?
Another pilot is set to film or probably has already been filmed in the area. A simulated explosion is set for Wednesday March 25, 2009 between 9:30AM and Noon, near the Key Bridge. The pilot is currently named Washington Field, produced by CBS Paramount. Washington Field is about an elite Washington Field Office of the FBI and a team with “exception and diverse” skills. A simulated explosion is set to take place on the Potomac River just north of the Key Bridge and Jack’s Boathouse. In the scene there will be 6 sculling boats on the Potomac in which on of them will blow up. The scene will produce a 20 to 30′ fireball that will last about 2 minutes.

We One You Two the boutique co-owned by Blonde Charity Mafia girl Krista Johnson along with Judy Mayka and Thalia Attinger reported by the Glamazon Diaries that their boutique will be renamed Julep. The girls were spreading the word at the District Sample Sale that their boutique was going through a name change.

In tough economic times Arlington County VA is in the midst of closing the Gulf Branch Nature Center which would save the county $125,357. The Director of the Center was let go on February 18th, 2009 whose salary was $101,000.
Sophia Pyle, an Arlington County resident and member of the Blonde Charity Mafia was on hand to support the group of 300 people who showed to show their support.
How much did Arlington County spend on fixing up the high schools? A plan certainly could have been worked out after the director was cut. It doesnt seem that much to support a center enjoyed by so many.
