UPDATE: Nice job by the Washington Post again, breaking down Tareq and Machaele’s situation. Just terrible the way these guys are allegedly living their life of lies. From not paying home association dues to not even being a Redskins cheerleader. I dont want to give these people any more fame but, I smell a movie deal. This could be one of the top con-jobs ever in DC.

Tareq and Machaele Salahi are receiving their 15 minutes of fame for crashing the White House State Dinner. Perhaps they are not to blame since someone at the White House may have botched and let them in. What they did will probably do down in history but a year or two from now we wont remember them. It will be interesting to see if Bravo decides to drop them from the reality TV audition for Bravo’s Real Housewives of DC or they will ride the ratings because that is what they are after not to show the real side of Washington DC insiders. Perhaps Bravo will continue to follow them when they serve their felony charges if they did or did not broke a law afterall. According to Paul Morrison, a Virginia attorney, they didnt do anything wrong.

From the developing stories Tareq and Machaele Salahi are simply party crashers who like to show off their pictures with celebrities and politicians on facebook. Act like you have been there before. A nice post from AskmissA.com’s blog and her past dealings with the Salahis:

Well now they have gained the fame at boy in the ballon level…quick fame for the week. Soon they will be forgotten. If there was a DC Socialite Hall of Shame they would be on there. Can you think of anyone else who should be in the DC Socialite Hall of Shame?

I wonder if they will appear on a morning talk show to talk about “their side of the story” or will Bravo have a teaser for us on the Real Housewives of DC. The other question is who will try it again? Will the Secret Service have to deal with this kind of behavior again? What a nightmare.
