According to Variety, Blonde Charity Mafia is looking at an air date around December-January most likey between cycles of America’s Top Model.

Ostroff also defended the CW’s decision to go dark this summer, arguing that the cost of running a handful of original shows during the off-season wouldn’t have been worth it.

“For us to make noise in the summer, we’d have to program the entire lineup,” she said.

That’s why the CW opted to push its one original summer skein, “Blonde Charity Mafia,” into the regular season. That unscripted series will now likely air during December and January between cycles of “America’s Next Top Model.”

CW decided to “go dark” this summer, claiming running an original show during the off-season wouldnt be worth it.

The Blonde Charity Mafia Blog has learned that the show has been picked up overseas, MTV New Zealand to be exact. The show will air on MTV New Zealand in August and September on Wednesday nights, before their US debut strangely enough.

Here is a direct quote from BCM girl Sophie Pyle:

“I was very excited to hear that not only will we air in the US later this fall, but that we will also air in New Zealand in August and September.”
There is talk that the show may air on more networks around the World. This is great exposure for the show as well as great exposure for DC.
We welcome our international readers to this blog.

Looks like CW is moving ahead with festivities of the Blonde Charity Preview Party even though the premier has been delayed for the fall schedule.

You can see the photos on halfpintgentleman.com

Wonkette has released a photo of supposedly the MTV Real World DC house. Situated on 2000 S Street.

The filming of Real World DC is said to start on June 20th. Where will the first night out be for the cast of characters? Adam’s Morgan? Georgetown? Dupont?

Looks like Lisa de Moraes of the Washington Post has confirmed the delayed airing of Blonde Charity Mafia. The show will air in the mid-season which is around the mid-September time frame.

Word is Dawn Ostroff, CW programming chief, liked the six half-hours that have been ordered and knew that, in a summer run, the network could not really give the show the kind of marketing and support it merited.

Perhaps the show tested well and they want to market the show more. Hopefully more episodes will be ordered after the mid-season release.

The Futon Critic has reported that Blonde Charity Mafia will be delayed. Is there any truth to the rumor?

We will keep you up to date.

See the Futon Critic  the full story.

“Mafia” will now roll out on a later, unspecified date.

This could possibly be the end of the world with the MTV Real World coming to DC, Blonde Chairty Mafia kicking off their season on the CW, and the Real Housewives of DC casting.

Washington DC is slowly becoming reality television mecca. Will we see the day that there will be three camera crews at a charity event? BCM girls in the background shot of MTV Real World. Will it become a bad 80s sit-com crossover? Perhaps a bar fight or cage match between the shows at a Georgetown watering hole.

Looks like CWTV.COM has put up an “official” page of the Blonde Charity Mafia, the current BCM Facebook page looks more official than this. The page is indeed a page. With links to a Facebook page and a talk about it page. Not much of a page. A nice picture of the BCM girls though, but that is all. You would think to promote the show a little better CW would put more into it.

Whomever maintains the Blonde Charity Mafia page on facebook has way more information and more stuff than this CWTV page.

Even the link to the Facebook fan page is just one entry as opposed to the other Facebook fan page which is full of useful information and 2800+ fans as opposed to only 28 fans on the CW Facebook page. Which one to follow? Now they will be competing with each other.

The Blonde Charity Mafia Girls will be on WJFK 106.7 with the Junkies this morning. You can catch the live broadcast at 8AM on WJFK’s live stream.

You should be able to catch them on podcast later in the day also if you missed the live broadcast. Check WJFK’s Podcast Page for the podcast later i the day.
